Brunch: Toasted Panetonne, Marscapone, Bacon and Strawberries

 



This is a super quick brunch recipe and a good way of getting rid of surplus panetonne. Outside of Christmas time, brioche or similar would work too.

Ingredients:
  • A couple of rashers of smoked back bacon
  • A couple of slices of panetonne
  • A good dollop of marscapone
  • Quartered fresh strawberries
Serves 1

Quantities do not matter much in this recipe.

Fry the bacon in its own fat. Meanwhile, toast the panetonne (in my case it fits into the toaster), and quarter the strawberries. Put them all on a plate, and add the marscapone. Eat quickly and make seconds.
